Brian Creath founded Cohesion in 1999 as a business and brand consultancy focused on strategic direction.
For more than 25 years, Brian has partnered directly with CEOs, founders, boards and senior leadership teams, working inside the decisions, priorities and tradeoffs that shape how organizations operate, grow and change. His work has spanned more than 250 organizations, from global enterprises to investor-backed and founder-led businesses, frequently at points of growth, transition or redefinition.
From the beginning, Brian’s work in brand direction and development extended beyond marketing and communication; often used as a strategic tool to help leaders clarify what the business was, where it was headed and what should guide decision-making over time.
As the world around businesses has grown more complex and technology has accelerated, leaders increasingly began to rely on Brian’s work not just to define brand, but to help guide business-wide direction; ensuring priorities, decisions and systems remained aligned as work moved across teams and platforms.
Today, Brian’s focus is Business Direction: a leadership discipline that governs how directional intent is clarified, positioned and stewarded across the business as it operates and evolves. The discipline emerged from decades of brand-led work, but operates at a broader, whole-business level.
Brian’s background also includes building and leading an award-winning advertising firm and serving as President and CMO of a publicly traded digital media company. He also leads Network 17, Cohesion’s platform for content, storytelling and emerging media initiatives.
